Made progress. Completed projects. Laid a foundation. There is a vision. There have been struggles. There have been delights. Have a direction. There is a plan. Pushed through. What about the next step? Let go and hold on? Practice, patience, breathe, believe, know …. Finding the center. Clearing the head. Opening the heart, the mind, and yes the soul. Expert, knowledge based. What does the gut say? On track? Where is the path and where does it lead? Can it be done? Just a fantasy? Going it alone? Support? What about all the other dreams and desires? Waiting, waiting, waiting – who’s the fool?
Have you ever had these kinds of thoughts circling in your head? Have you dedicated yourself, applied yourself, achieved results and yet the goal seems out of reach?
This can be considered a plateau in the journey of mastery or the journey of life fulfillment. The process to continue either on the plateau or up the next climb requires dedication and determination. The plateau also offers the vast grounds to meander with a status quo, ease of status, minimal effort. It takes energy to purposefully traverse the plateau and prepare for another climb.
What will it be? You are at a place that provides a level of comfort and satisfaction. Your energy level has waned. Is there a desire to strike out again on this adventure of life? What is necessary to bring peace and balance which also revitalizes the energy. Are you trying to do it alone? Have you asked for help and the response timing has put you in a lull? What is the learning opportunity in that lull?
What are the skills and strategies to continue? As hinted at above – create support – ask for assistance, a buddy, to gauge your next steps and set up accountability. Clarify your vision from your heart (integrating values, needs, passion, purpose, talents). Create balance – meet your needs; explore your joys; play, work, live, rest and share. Be willing to say no. Be aware of the moments. Know that time is concrete and imaginary – go with the flow.
